It is available for pharmaceutical & industrial grade application (bleaches, disinfectants, and herbicides). Cyanuric Acid exist in dry powder form, pellet form & also in liquid form depending upon the application. Cyanuric acid, also known as stabilizer, used in outdoor pools to decrease the  photodecomposition rate of available chlorine. When Cyanuric acid is added to pool water, a certain percentage of the cyanuric acid (H3Cy) ionizes to form cyanurate (H2Cy-). The portion that ionizes is pH-dependent. When cyanuric acid is added to pools using unstabilized chlorine, the ionized cyanurate combines with available chlorine to form stable chloroisocyanurates.

 

"Cyanuric Acid" is having a number of important non-pool uses, which include preparation of high performance magnetic-wire enamels, and in electrical varnishes, plastics with enhanced properties, flame-retardant resins and solid lubricants, cross-linking and curing agent in the manufacturing of plastics and coatings.  Unlike other ‘acids,’ it is commonly referred to as a chlorine stabilizer or conditioner, forming a chemically weak and temporary bond with chlorine.
