Global Ventilators Market: Overview
The ventilator is a device that can control, replace, or change a person's normal physiological breathing, increase lung ventilation, improve breathing function, reduce breathing work consumption, and save heart reserve capacity. When infants and young children are complicated by acute respiratory failure, active conservative treatment is ineffective, the breathing is weakened, and the sputum is thick and thick, sputum is difficult to discharge, the airway is blocked, or atelectasis occurs. Intubation and ventilator should be considered. The ventilator must have four basic functions, namely, inflating the lungs, inhaling to exhaling, exhaling alveolar air, and exhaling to inspiratory, in turn.

Global Ventilators Market: Insights
The global Ventilators market likely to reach USD 1636.08 million in 2027 and generated USD 870 Million in 2018, registering a CAGR of 6.68% during the forecast period (2020-2027). The rapidly increasing number of preterm births, rising prevalence of respiratory diseases, an expanding number of ICU beds in hospitals worldwide will fuel the growth of the ventilator market in the expected periods. Additionally, a rapid rise in the geriatric population and the high prevalence of chronic diseases coupled with the surge in government’s expenditure on healthcare would accelerate the global ventilators industry in the next few years. According to World Population Prospects: the 2019 Revision, by 2050, one in six people in the world will be over age 65 (16%), up from one in 11 in 2019 (9%). By 2050, one in four persons living in Europe and Northern America could be aged 65 or over.
Furthermore, rising pollution levels across developing and developed countries coupled with increasing cases of respiratory emergencies and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) will trigger the global ventilators market in the future period. According to WHO, there would be a marked increase in the number of people with asthma worldwide, and it is estimated that there may be an additional 100 million people with asthma by 2025.

Additionally, supportive government initiatives, manufacturers firms in emerging economies, are focusing on creating cost-efficient ventilators which provide flexibility and cater to the local needs for patient care, which would grow demand for ventilators soon. Increasing neonate mortality rates coupled with the swelling number of preterm births with respiratory disorders, will boost the ventilators market in the forecast periods. Rising pollution levels and the rapid pace of urbanization, coupled with an increase in the number of cases of respiratory and cardiovascular diseases across the world, will propel the global ventilators market in the expected time.

Impact of Covid-19 virus on Ventilators Market
As cities and hospitals across the globe are overrun with coronavirus patients, there has been an active shortage of medical equipment worldwide. At the heart of the demand is the urgent need for ventilators. According to Johns Hopkins University’s report, which came the last few days back, the demand for ventilators can be as high as 1 million in India. Current availability in India is estimated to have between 30,000 and 50,000 ventilators. This University says that today, the US has about 160,000 and is running short for ventilators.
The UK government’s Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) expected more than 20,000 extra ventilators could be required for treating infected patients during the coronavirus pandemic. In the UK, car manufacturers Ford and Honda, large jet engine and auto engine maker Rolls Royce, and heavy equipment maker JCB have received requests from the British government, hoping to invest together with the production line of the ventilator.
Dutch-based Philips (Philips) Medical Technology Inc. will increase the production of key medical products to help diagnose and treat patients with a new coronavirus. They currently produce about 1,000 ventilators per week and hope to reach around 2,000 in the coming weeks, and would continue to increase production as demand rises.

Global Ventilators Market: Product Type Insight
Based on the product type, the global Ventilators Market bifurcated into Invasive Ventilation and Non-Invasive Ventilation. The Invasive Ventilation segment accounted for a major market share in 2019. It would continue by 2027, due to the increase in demand for ventilators for respiratory diseases, neurological diseases, and sleeping disorders. Invasive systems such as mechanical ventilators widely use in newborn intensive care units and high frequency of use.

Global Ventilators Market: Technology Insights
Based on the technology, the global Ventilators Market classified into Mechanical Ventilators, High-Frequency Ventilators, Volume Targeted Ventilators, and Hybrid Ventilators. Mechanical Ventilators are likely to dominate the market by 2027, owing to the rise in cases of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and respiratory emergencies across the world.

Global Ventilators Market: Mobility Insights
Based on the mobility, the global Ventilators market bifurcated into intensive Care Ventilators and Portable/Transportable Ventilators. The Portable/Transportable Ventilators segment anticipated to generate maximum revenue by 2027, due to these ventilators are portable and can be carried to the patient location in emergency conditions.

Global Ventilators Market: Type Insights
Based on the Type, the global Ventilators Market bifurcated into Adult/Paediatric Ventilators and Infant/Neonatal Ventilators. The Infant/Neonatal Ventilators segment estimated to gain major market share by 2027, on account of the growing neonate mortality rates along with an increasing number of preterm births coupled with their surge in respiratory disorders.

Global Ventilators Market: Mode Insights
Based on the mode, the global Ventilators market segregated into Combined-Mode Ventilation, Volume-Mode Ventilation, Pressure-Mode Ventilation, and Others. The Pressure-Mode Ventilation segment estimated to lead the market by 2027, owing to its benefits such as lower peak airway pressures to deliver the same volume, better volume distribution within the lungs, ability to ventilate every patient type, and leak compensation without affecting volume delivery to the patient.

Global Ventilators Market: End-User Insights
