- September 2022: A tactically relevant electric 300 kW-class laser, Lockheed Martin's most potent laser to date, was presented to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defence for Research and Engineering OUSD (R&E) as a new standard. The Indirect Fires Protection Capability-High Energy Laser (IFPC-HEL) Demonstrator laser weapon system of the United States Army is one DOD demonstration project that this 300 kW-class laser is prepared to connect into. In order to reduce the risk associated with future efforts to deploy high-power laser weapon systems, Lockheed Martin has improved the power and efficiency of continuous-wave high-energy lasers while reducing the weight and volume.
- The Banner T30R radar sensor, designed for use in challenging sensor environments, and LED cordsets, which facilitate sensor commissioning and troubleshooting, are two new products from Banner Engineering. The T30R employs FMCW (frequency-modulated continuous wave) to find both fixed and moving targets. Compared to more conventional 24 GHz radar sensors now on the market, it can more accurately identify a larger variety of materials.
