This breakthrough supports lower greenhouse emissions and strengthens global efforts toward sustainable and decarbonized power grids.
- In July 2024, Mitsubishi Electric secured an order from Kansai Transmission and Distribution for its 84 kV dry air insulated switchgear. The system uses vacuum interrupters and dry air instead of SF₆, offering a zero–global warming potential solution. Scheduled for delivery in March 2026, the project highlights Mitsubishi Electric’s commitment to eco-friendly and carbon-neutral power infrastructure.
